✨ Behind the Interview: What I Didn’t Say Out Loud

Yellow rosebud on a soft pastel background with overlaid text: “A rose is still a rose. So are you. Perfect Enough.” Footer reads “Healing unfolds. Behind the interview."

This season, let your self-care be soft. Let your leadership be rooted. Let your friendship with yourself bloom.

When I sat down with Voyage Denver ‘s Bold Journey to talk about values and legacy, I shared the polished version—the milestones, the mission, the “why” behind Daisy Fields Company and Bye Bye Shame™.

But here’s what didn’t make it into the final edit:

  • The quiet grief of watching brilliant women burn out—or even get sick—trying to “do wellness right.” Listening to what others have done and trying to force it to fit is a recipe for depletion. You need your own way to find your strength.

  • The decades I spent unlearning perfectionism in my own healing and leadership. I’ve taken big strides, but being comfortable in my imperfection—even when it’s authentic—still catches me off guard. I’m learning that truth and authenticity are the most generous gifts I have, just by being me.

  • The sacred pause it takes to build a business that honors both impact and nervous system protection. It’s a moment-by-moment awareness of coveting yourself. Unraveling everything else takes time. But it’s worth it—even in the tough moments that seem to compile into days.

I didn’t say out loud how often I see high-performing women—executives, practitioners, creatives—carry shame in their cells. Not because they’ve failed, but because they’ve over-functioned for too long. Over-functioning is a credibility gap with yourself.

I didn’t say how nutritional therapy, when done with emotional attunement, becomes a reclamation of self, a way for each of us to say:

I deserve to feel good.

I deserve to get what I need and want.

I deserve to assimilate my life experience.

I deserve to lead without depletion.

I am Perfect Enough right now.

If you’re a woman who’s tired of chasing wellness and ready to inhabit it—gently, strategically, and with soul—this is your season.
