The Bliss of Middle Ground: You are Already Perfect Enough
December is chaotic and hurried.
The month overflows with food and drink that is out of the ordinary, and full of interruptions to your best routines.
Add in seasonal weather changes, and it’s easy to feel disordered—Because December is disordered, the temptation is to throw up your hands, say “heck with it,” and let your healthy habits slide. After all, January, the diet month, is right around the corner.
But here’s the thing: The all-or-nothing mindset is a slippery slope.
Beware of anything and anyone that pulls you away from your desires.
That beautiful, brilliant brain of yours needs your persistency, especially imperfect persistence, to reach your opportune destination.
Living in the Middle Ground
Middle ground is where you can have a happy medium. Here in the middle ground you find the balance of being centered, not tipping toward extremes. This is where you experience sparks of joy that build a foundation of core happiness.
Mastery is in the simple things well-practiced.
Here are a few tips to encourage a balanced December — a great foundation to launch a New Year.

Focus on drinking a little more water, turning off tech an hour earlier, or try a new 20‑minute movement routine (and if it turns into 45 minutes because you’re having fun, celebrate it).
Start your day with protein, experiment with a breakfast veggie — just three bites make an improvement for a healthier meal.
Stop letting the internet diagnose your symptoms or dictate your diet.
Keep your health appointments. See a doctor for check‑ins to discuss you and get sound answers for your health.
Skip what’s not right for you on that party platter.
